Have you ever tasted this wonderful orange-y dessert? If not, then definitely try it - it's delicious!
Ingredients
*5 C. milk *juice of 1 lemon *2 oranges *4-5 Tbs. sugar *1 Tbs. orange juice *4 almonds, blanched and sliced *4 pistachio nuts, blanched and sliced
Directions
Bring the milk to a boil stirring frequently. Add lemon juice and stir gently, then remove from heat and stir until milk curdles. Set aside to cool.
Strain the curdled mixture through a sieve lined with muslin cloth. Squeeze out all liquid, then leave paneer under a heavy flat weight for at least 1 hour. Meanwhile, peel oranges and remove all white skin. Cut between membranes and remove orange segments.
Knead paneer thoroughly with sugar, add orange juice and mix well. Spread half this mixture to form a 5-in. square on a plate or dish and arrange half the orange segments on top. Cover with remaining paneer, spreading it evenly on top.
Chill before serving, decorating with remaining orange segments and nuts.
