Chai Masala PDF Print E-mail

Use this simple spice blend to flavor black tea or chai tea.  This recipe contains a comforting blend of spices!

 

Ingredients

*2 sticks cinnamon
*2 tsp. cardamom seeds
*1/2 tsp. whole cloves
*1 tsp. powdered ginger

Directions

Toast all the spices, except ginger, in warm skillet, shaking from time to time to prevent burning. Cool and grind them using a mortar and pestle or an electric grinder. Add the powdered ginger. Store in a jar placed in a cool spot. Use only a few pinches of this masala per cup of tea.
