Mango juice can be bought almost anywhere in India, but there's nothing like homemade mango juice!
Ingredients
*10 med. or 6 lg., very soft, ripe mangoes *juice of 1 lemon or lime *juice of 3 oranges *sugar, if needed
Directions
Wash mangoes and squeeze each fruit by rolling it gently throughly between your hands. Set aside.
Take one mango at a time and cut off the tip where it comes to a point. With firm, steady pressure from your hands, squeeze the juice into a mixing bowl. Set the empty peels and pits aside.
If there are too many fibers, strain the mango juice using a colander with fairly large holes.
Add the lemon juice and orange juice and mix well. If the juice is too thick, add some water, but you can make it thick like a milkshake, if you prefer.
Taste for sweetness and add sugar only if needed. Serve chilled.
