Cabbage Stir-fried PDF Print E-mail

This is a great side dish or starter for any Indian main course. I prefer to make this stir-fried cabbage in the summer months because it is light, yet flavorful and filling.


Ingredients

* 4 Tbs. oil
* 1 tsp. mustard seeds
* 5-6 curry leaves, torn
* 2 green chilies, sliced
* 1 large cabbage, thinly sliced
* 3 oz. grated coconut
* juice of 1 lime

Directions

Heat the oil and fry the mustard seeds over a medium heat until they start crackling. Add the curry leaves and chilies and fry for a few seconds. Add the cabbage and cook for 5-7 minutes, tossing continuously. Stir in the coconut and cook for 1 minute. Stir in the lime juice before serving.
