Serve this tasty chutney powder recipe with hot rice and ghee.
Ingredients
*1/2 C. yellow split peas *1/2 C. split black beans *1/2 C. grated (shredded) copra *10 dried red chillies *1/2 tsp. asafoetida *2 tsp. oil *1 Tbs. jaggery or sugar *1 Tbs. tamarind pulp *2-3 curry leaves *salt
Directions
Dry roast split peas, split beans and copra for 2 minutes. Fry the chillies and asafoetida in the oil until lightly browned. Grind everything to a fine powder, adding salt to taste. Store in an airtight container.
